Purple Mountain

Purple Mountain

There once lived a boy named Phil. Phil was not your every day kid, he was different. He could beat up any guy at school and not feel bad about it. He had one problem. He was human. He makes mistakes and he is not perfect. No human is perfect. Phil was a big guy, he liked going out to the burger shops every chance he could get. They old way you could beat big Phil in a fight would be out running him. He was fat and he knew it. Phil never ever goes into a fight alone. He always has his buddy beside him, backing him up. His friend wasn’t normal either. He is a talking moose. “Not just any moose” says Phil. “He is a mini moose, he can talk just like any human and he has a heart of gold. It’s hard for him to help people; because when he tries to help someone they run yelling MOOSE. He wouldn’t hurt a fly. He’s just a good friend of mine and help where he can” says Phil.
“I got a text just the other day” says Phil. Moose replies “What was that?” “Oh, just another friend of mine, he has a quest for us to take care of. He has run into a trouble. He left his wedding ring at the top of Purple Mountain. There is someone waiting up there. But it will not be that easy. His name is Fred. Fred likes to kill people. He rides a red horse that can shoot fire at whoever he wishes. We’ll have to head up soon so we can try and beat him in the dark.” “I’m scared and really don’t know if this is a good idea Phil! He can shoot flames at us” says Moose. “Get goodnights sleep tonight, we’ll pack or bags and get ready all day tomorrow have a small nap then head up the mountainside tomorrow at dusk” says Phil.
As Moose and Phil enter Candy land, the 8 pm mark hits. It’s starting to get darker and darker. Harder and harder to see. “How are we going to be able to see where we are going?” says Phil. Moose replies “I’ll use my night vision that my father passed down to me! This is the first time i have actually been able to use this gift; I cannot wait!” Click he says out loud, and off they go. Phil follows right behind Moose so he doesn’t trip and fall down the steep mountain side! Huffing and puffing they climb slow but steady. The 10 pm mark hits, and they have been climbing for over 2 hours not, in the pitch black! “We have to be here soon” says Moose. “Look! I see some lights” Whispers Phil. They climb faster while trying to keep quiet! “Ah! Here we are” says Moose. Now that they are on top, they’ve got to try and find small caves. “There are lots of lights up here” says Phil. “Just how do we know which one is the right cave?” whispers Moose.  “Let’s just keep walking; I’m sure we’ll come across something strange!” Taking smaller and smaller steps, trying to keep light feet while walking, trying not to make a single noise. “Ah!” Yells Moose! “I turn around and he is hanging off the end of the cliff! Someone made a trap! We must be getting close!! Here! Take this rope” says Phil “I toss the rope down. He grips it tight with his teeth, hanging on for dear life! Just wait! Be patient, ill pull you up don’t worry! Just as I think things couldn’t be going better i hear footsteps! Clip clop. “Who is that?” says Moose. “Shh!”I whisper. It’s him! I’ll stay here till the end Moose! Don’t worry! As he come closer his horse seems to be small, he really is not that big after all. Wait, he looks huge! He’s getting bigger and bigger as he keeps coming towards me! Should I drop this rope? No! I can’t! This is my best friend! I’ll stay with him until the end! It’s too cold outside; my hands are becoming numb from hanging onto this rope for so long! Here he comes! I have to act fast! How can I kill him or injure him so i can steal my ring back from his cave? A cheeseburger! That’s it! I have one in my pocket from the other day! I was Hungry and forgot about it! It’s so frozen it would knock him out, without a rider the horse can’t do a thing to me or my friend! I tie the rope off onto a 6oo Lb rock nearby! Hang on Moose I yelled! I’ll be back! I reach into my pocket with my ice cold hands, grab the burger and take aim! “Back off” I yelled. He turns and looks at me with a big grin. I swear i could have seen bugs crawling through his teeth. Don’t take me lightly i yelled at him. He laughed a little more; he looks back as he’s getting ready to grab something. WACK! I threw my burger; hit him square in the back of the head. He fell off that horse faster than a rock down the cliff! I ran back, grabbed my buddy who i left hanging. Pulled him up – thank god he’s just a little guy! We ran off and into his cave. There is was, sitting in the corner all alone.  A little dusty, that can be fixed. I ran in, grabbed it, and told Moose to lead the way back. Just to make sure we don’t get lost! Just as were heading down the other side of the mountain the 12 o’clock bells ring! We have to be back by 1 am Moose or the ring will magically disappear! It has to be on her finger by 1:01am! Let’s run! We have to hurry back! We run for 30 minutes strait and stop for a break, run for another 20 minutes! Back with 5 minutes to spare. Give it to my buddy, on the finger it goes! Were safe! A job well done Moose. Another great job. Time for bed? Moose? Are you there? Bang! Moose falls over! He can’t be dead!!  Ring, Ring, Ring, “Hello 9-11 How many I help you?”

The Incredibles

A superhero is a character that possess’ extraordinary or superhuman powers and is dedicated to protecting the public. In the movie The Incredibles, the four main heroes from the Parr family display their varying talents and powers throughout the movie. Mr. Incredible, also known as Bob Parr, is the main superhero in the film. Bob possesses tremendous strength and has enhanced senses. At the beginning of the film he is shown using his strength to stop the train from driving into the hole in the tracks. He is shown again in the forest on the island displaying his enhanced senses when he can hear Omnidroid coming up behind him. Elastigirl, also known as Helen Parr, is Mr. Incredibles wife. She can stretch any part of her body up to 100 feet and as little as one millimetre thin. She can also reshape her body in a variety of ways. Her powers are seen right at the beginning of the movie when Mr. Incredible is fighting a man that stole an old ladies purse and she comes around the corner bending her body and stretching to knock him the robber out. She also becomes a parachute and a rubber boat when her and her kids are going to help her husband and also uses her arms for a swing and a slingshot. Violet is the eldest child of the three. She has superpowers that make her turn invisible and generate force fields to protect her. With this power she can also levitate heavy objects. The fourth Incredible is a ten year old boy names Dash. His super power is speed, which allows him to run at high speeds and run on water. Violet and Dash’s powers are first shown at the beginning of the film when they are fighting at the dinner table. As a family, the Incredibles can accomplish any goal and protect people against multiple kinds of villains. They can be defined as superheroes because of their determination and mind set to never back down or give up. Even after being forced to hide their super powers and fit in to society as normal civilians, they knew what was right and what had to be done in order to stop the villains.
A true hero is someone who thinks about other people and their wellbeing before they think of themselves. The Parr family knew that they were not supposed to be getting involved but they knew that helping people in need was the right thing to do.A hero sometimes has to put themselves in dangerous situation to help others in need. Even after being told they cannot help people anymore and they need to go into hiding, they do not back down when someone is in need. One night a week, Mr. Incredible would hide out with Frozone and listen to the police scanner for people that were in need and ways they could help. The Parr family wouldn’t be considered superheroes for sitting at home and not doing anything. They are considered superheroes because even though they were told to stay in hiding and that they weren’t allowed to help people anymore they did what was right and helped the people that were in need. They worked together and conquered the villains and didn’t stop until the job was done. The film shows that a job is easier if you work together and to always do the right thing.

Woman

A hero is a person who is admired for courage or noble qualities. Although many people think that only men have the qualities to be considered a hero, there is no reason that a woman can’t be a hero as well. Women deserve to have the same rights as men. They deserve to receive the same education as men, be treated the same way as men, be seen as equals to men and have the right to do the same things that men do. Women should have the right to be considered a hero just as much as men do because they can make a difference too and should be given the same chances as men. Women think differently than men so they may be able to come up with a new way of doing something or a new solution to a large problem that a man may not be able to think of. The race or sexuality of a male doesn’t affect whether or not a male is considered a hero, so the gender of the person should not affect whether or not the person is considered a hero. When women are seen as equals to men and given the same power as men, it evens out the society and makes it a better place for everyone. It isn’t the gender that makes someone a hero; it is the qualities the person possess and the things they have done that make someone a hero.

Step Brothers

Step Brothers is a classic. In this comedy film, Will Ferrell  and John C. Reilly pull of an hilarious duo that will go down in history for young viewers. In the movie Will plays Brennan and John plays Dale, two 40 year old step brothers that just cannot get along. if its not fighting over who get this bed and who gets that bed, its about who can play the drums best. After many different scenes in the movie with the two brothers fighting over childish things, they suddenly become friends. "Step Brothers" is much like the other movies Will Ferrell stars in such as Anchorman. these movies seem to be funny to young viewers, but there is really no plot or storyline to them. Its terrible language, and young adult presence seems to attract viewers. Most people seem to think that immature people and profound language is funny. Movies these days are not like they used to be. Comedy's used to be the funny shows, where people sit around and crack jokes. It has turned into a bunch of perverts and fools running around acting like idiots, but yet we still seem to get the same "funny" side off of the film! "Step Brothers" is a good movie if you have nothing to do on a Friday night. Sit down and relax, and get ready to have many famous lines and expressions thrown at you! Overall great movie, many times you have to break out laughing.

The Hangover

The Hangover is a modern day comedy that is based on a group of young guys headed to Vegas for a bachelor party, Turns out, some people just can't handle Vegas.
The movie had 3 main characters. Alan, Phil and Stu. As they all venture off for there buddies bachelor party, they find out that they just cant handle Vegas. They end up loosing they're buddy Doug, and he is the only reason why they are all in there in the first place. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Heather Graham star in a hilarious comedy from Old School director Todd Phillips
In this modern day comedy they use many different aspects of writing to make the movie seem more intriguing. The use of fowl language keeps you awake and laughing. They chose the right actors as they all fit into the setting and positions quite well. If they all didn't really care to be acting the film would have been more slow moving and not as interesting. In the film they try and use modern day ideas and acts that some people would actually try and do or use in life today. They may seem some what far fetched, but there are some people that would act this way.
The film Old School and the Hangover were both written by the same person. They are both identical. Most people that have been talking about the two say The Hangover is basically a sequel to the film Old School. The movies have the same baseline, meaning they both try and get the same message across, just using different tones, and different lauguage types.
Overall the film was great. I think that most people that had spent the time and money watching it were satisfied. I think that they could have sent the message while keeping the language down a little bit more but it seems these days that just adds the cherry on the cake.
